All Onerep users, regardless of plan, can set up two-factor authentication (2FA) via SMS. Enabling 2FA will put another layer of security on your account and prevent unauthorized access even if someone has your password.
Once you enable 2FA, a one-time code sent by SMS will be required to:
- Log into your account.
- Change your password.
- Change your phone number in account information (not the phone number we scan for on data brokers).
- Disable 2FA.
How to enable two-factor verification?
Step 1: Open your “Account preferences” page: onerep.com/account/settings.
Step 2: Click on “Set up SMS verification” in the “2-step verification” section.
Step 3: Confirm your phone number. If you’d like to receive verification codes on another number, close the confirmation window and change the phone number tied to your account.
Step 4: Enter the verification code you’ve received by SMS and click “Confirm.”
You’re all set! You should now have 2-step verification marked as “Active.”
Important things to remember:
- A verification code is valid for 10 minutes. If it expires, you’ll need to request a new one.
- You can request 10 verification codes a day. If you go over the limit, the system will block new codes for 24 hours. In case you need to log into your account or change your phone number/ password during those 24 hours, call Onerep support at +1 (855) 856-6655.
- If you lose access to the phone number tied to 2FA and can’t receive verification codes, call Onerep support at +1 (855) 856-6655.
- If you want to change the phone number you receive verification codes to, change the number tied to your account (on the “Account preferences” page).
