When you create a Onerep account, we ask you to provide your name, its variations and aliases, your phone numbers, date of birth, current and previous addresses, and email addresses.
Only your first and last name, date of birth, phone number, and city and state are required to run the service. However, we encourage you to add as many details as possible—even outdated ones.
It helps us find more exposed records
Data brokers often retain outdated information. You can move to another location, but a number of sites will keep listing your previous address as your current one for months and even years. The same is true for your last name or phone number.
Knowing more about you lets us find more matching records—including those that contain outdated or incomplete details.
It helps us distinguish your records from someone else’s
Unless your name is extremely unique, there may be dozens—or even hundreds—of people with a similar name. Some will even share your city or birth year.
Data brokers also build profiles differently: some contain only your age instead of the full date of birth, others list only your middle initial or your current state without the full address.
To distinguish you from people with similar data, we need to have additional identifying details to cross-reference.
Can I add more information later?
Yes, you can edit your personal information at any time by going to “Edit your info/ Edit your family info” in your dashboard. For step-by-step instructions, see this guide.
Any changes to your personal information automatically trigger a new scan, allowing us to search for newly added details and update your results accordingly.
How we use the information you provide
Your personal information is used only to identify your records and submit opt-out requests on your behalf. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
For more details on how we collect, store, and protect your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
